Surprisingly good! Salsa,cheese,chips all good and a killer flank steak. Great service. Booths a little tight for big people.

I feel so at home at On The Border Wilmington! Judy, Will and Amanda are amazing!!! The food is always great, hot and filling. Everything is always fresh! The atmosphere is amazing!!! We visit once a week!!!!

We go there often and always sit in the bar. Ask for Will; he is the best! The food is good and the owner is so personable!

DO YOU LIKE TEQUILA? Well this place has the BEST marg deals and by far the best chips! They have thin chips, which means when you eat 3 you’re really eating 1. Did I mean ruin the late night menu?!??

The family and I go here maybe every month or so. The food is always good and the prices are more than fair. The only issue we have repeatedly have is the service. The staff is nice, don't get me wrong, but we often wait for drink refills and have to repeat things we need to the staff. Maybe they run the wait staff too hard? I don't know but I do know there are always two sides to things. Anyhow, I do recommend due to the food!

Judy the general manager goes out of her way to make sure everyone in your party is happy and that the service is perfect every visit. She has an amazing staff and creates a positive environment that you can feel as soon as you walk in the door

The service was fast and friendly. Me and my friend were talking and the waitress had to come back twice because we did not get a chance to look at the menu.She was very patient with us. But when our food arrived it was very good.

Staff was very nice and helpful. The food is subpar at best. Chips were extremely salty, the beef tacos were pretty subpar as well, the hard shell was good but the beef tasted the same from taco bell. If you are looking for a date night or decent sit down Mexican, I would highly recommend you try somewhere else.

Limeade Freda and delicious crispy tacos! Went Father's day 2018 for lunch. It took 45 min for our guacamole! Server said she'd deliver drinks and be right back to take our order. 20 min later she did come back, but we asked for the check. Ridiculous wait time. Hostess doesn't smile, teenager with rbf.

I was there at 8:30 PM. My server did not check on me at all, after I got my food. She seemed disinterested, and it was not busy at all. That was a sharp contrast from the table behind me, that had a parade of people checking on them, including someone from the kitchen (a manager?) Twice, I had to ask another server to get her. My chicken fajita was just okay, because the sliced chicken was cold, and put atop sizzling onions. I know it was 8:30 PM, but the chicken should have been heated through, but since my server never checked, I could not say anything. The chips and salsa were great, and the sides were great.

Great food, probably my favorite street tacos and rice I've eaten. Very friendly staff, super clean interior. I'd love to go back.

Great service, great food. It's not "traditional Mexican", but you can get great takes on your favorites. And the kids love it, too!

went on my birthday & the food was amazing! the service was super fast as well and the waitress was super friendly. The manager on dity even came over and checked to make sure everything was to our liking (which is was). Ill def go back again! Plus my son loves the chips & salsa.

Really disappointed. Went in & waited about 5 minutes only to be told that there would be a wait but didn't have any idea how long the wait would be as the kitchen was behind. That would be understandable if they would of been busy but there were only about 5 tables occupied & 3 people at the bar & it looked like at least a couple of those tables already had there food.

So, I was not that impressed with everything, but definitely not bad. Jason has the best customer service I have seen in wilmington yet. He informed me of all the local info and was prompt to service everyone around him in a friendly manner. He definitely made it worth going back. Give the man a raise!!

Food and drinks were wonderful. Our server Kim was awesome. Really made our night. The burrito, tacos and chips were delicious!!

My friend goes there for drinks and I've only ate appetizers not full entrees. I will update once I taste other items on the menu. The atmosphere is very calming.

I was brought a salad with slimy brown lettuce. I asked the server If she would eat it, at which of course she said no. My biggest concern is all the MOLD growing on the pictures and the wall that we were set by. I talked with the manager whom pleasant Abut the mold said that the mold pictures have been discussed several times.. upper management needs to wake up, people would rather look at just an empty wall versus pictures wilted from water growing mold while they eat...

I always enjoy eating here. Everything I’ve ever had has been great. I especially love the steak fajitas here in the white queso with meat. The atmosphere is so fun and Tex-Mex theme. It’s nicely decorated and the service is friendly, although sometimes slow.

This was the first time I was able to convince my teenage granddaughters to try Mexican food. They had this chain in Colorado and it was delicious. NOT HERE. Everyone had a different meal and they were all horrible. Horrible service too. Never to return.

This restaurant has to be the fakest Mexican restaurant I have ever been to, no horchata, no tortilla with carne asada? George Lopez is rolling in there grave right now.

Large menu, nice efficent staff, very good prices. Good luncheon portions.

Lunch here is my favorite. You can get a punch card and work up to a free lunch. The portions here are large. I have made three meals out of the ultimate fajita. They also have a margarita with lime and fresh orange, never had orange and let me tell you it is awesome! You should try it!

On the border, it’s time to wake up! I have been a fan of this chain for several years, and I visited this location for the first time, and I was simply not impressed. The service is fine but waiting 30 plus minutes, is not. The food came out cold and the whole place seemed to be a disaster. With the mess they call a kitchen you can expect long waits, cold processed food, and on top of all that things are missing and/or not correct. Will not be returning to this location.

Really great food selection. Everything we got came out quickly and was great. I tried the watermelon marg and it tasted great. Pricing was good - as a group of 3 people we got dinner for 50 bucks. Definitely would recommend trying

Great Friendly atmosphere. Best seat is in the bar area. Staff is very attentive and friendly! Management is always visible for any concerns or just conversation. Can’t beat the week day drink and food specials.

On the Border Mexican grill and cantina is a very good Mexican restaurant in Wilmington located in the Mayfair Shopping Mall District I've been to this restaurant several times including the Cinco de Mayo celebration which creates an even more unique atmosphere especially after two or three cervesas. This restaurant comes highly recommended for everybody who's never been there. I would also recommended it again for anyone who's been only once and still might be looking for a place to get something really good to eat.. this is a mainstream eating establishment and to me it seems their primary focus is the Taste of their food.. enjoy

I wish I could give this place more stars, but there a few reasons why I can't. Every time I try to place a to go order, the phone rings forever and I have to call back multiple times. When they do finally answer they till me my food will be ready in 10 minutes... I go get it every time and they are never busy and servers are just standing around. I have eaten in once and got poor service, hence why I do take out. If they answered the phone I'd be happy to give this place more stars.
